"Thanks to these lessons, I was able to identify more strategies to understand the best way to approach the problem."
What was your first impression of the Leadership Academy?
I felt very comfortable! I have to say it was not only because of the topics covered, which were of great interest, but also because of the practical and hands-on approach of the course. This allowed us not only to understand the theory and gain insights from the executives' experience, but also to benefit from the peer-to-peer work. Listening to the experiences of other colleagues was really effective.
At first, I was a bit hesitant because the length of the sessions seemed too short. However, I soon realized that the topics were revisited and approached from multiple perspectives by other experts, creating a kind of progressive learning path. The foundations were laid, and over time, different aspects were explored, helping to better understand even the content from the earlier sessions.
What was the added value of the peer sessions?
I also realized that during the peer sessions, understanding how others would approach the problem presented in the exercise was incredibly helpful. It provided perspectives that I had never considered due to my own experiences or attitude. This was very useful because it helped me understand the types of people I might encounter and how different roles, teams, and companies think and act.
Is there any concept you’ve learned in the Leadership Academy that you particularly carry with you and apply in your daily life?
It’s really about awareness for certain things. For example, I was very struck by the first lesson on self-leadership. I manage a team of 8 people, and this session helped me define the type of leadership I should use to address some issues more quickly and efficiently, while reflecting on the kind of person I want to be within my team.
Thanks to these lessons, I was able to identify more strategies for figuring out the best way to tackle a problem, or how to give constructive feedback, or how to allocate the right amount of time for one-on-one meetings.
