Biography

Mirja Cartia d’Asero has been the CEO of Il Sole 24 ORE since April 27, 2022, and a member of the Board of Directors since 2020.

Born in Catania, she graduated in Law from the University of Catania and is qualified as an attorney. She completed advanced training courses at European Lawyer at the Law Society and C.E.O. School.

With over 25 years of experience in the finance sector, specializing in real estate, Mirja has worked as a lawyer and manager in international settings.

She began her career as a lawyer in the banking & finance and real estate sectors, then worked for 12 years at an international investment bank. In 2015, she co-founded and led ReStar, a company active in the distressed credit sector, which was acquired by Guber Banca in 2019.

Mirja is also an Independent Director at Tecma Solutions, Zurich Investments Life, and Italmobiliare, and a member of the General Council of Fieg. She has held similar roles at FNM, Damiani, and Prelios in the past.

Passionate about sustainability and artificial intelligence, she continues to innovate in her field.
