Biography

Mirja Cartia d’Asero is the CEO of Il Sole 24 ORE from 27 April 2022 and member of the Board of Directors from 2020.

Born in Catania, she holds a law degree from the University of Catania and is a qualified lawyer. She has completed advanced training courses at European Lawyer at the Law Society and C.E.O. School.

With over 25 years of experience in the finance sector, specialising in real estate, she has worked as a lawyer and manager in international contexts.

Starting her career as a lawyer in banking & finance and real estate, she then worked for 12 years in an international commercial bank. In 2015, she co-founded and led ReStar, a company active in the impaired loans sector, which was acquired by Guber Bank in 2019.

Mirja is also an Independent Advisor to Tecma Solutions, Zurich Investments Life, and Italmobiliare, as well as a member of the General Council of Fieg. In the past, she held similar positions at FNM, Damiani, and Prelios.

Passionate about sustainability and artificial intelligence, she continues to innovate in her field.
